This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to identify life-threatening emergencies, help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness. Ultimately this program equips the participant with the knowledge and confidence needed to function in a pre-hospital environment as a member of the local health services delivery team. |

This course is suitable for any individual who works, lives, or takes trips in isolated or wilderness areas. The course covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special content on techniques for wilderness and remote areas as well as strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. |
